Vasantotsav MUSIC FESTIVAL PUNE

For over 20 years, Vasantotsav, the flagship 3 day annual festival held in Pune has been filling the hearts of its patrons with rhythm and joy. Bringing together instrumentalists from sarod, sitar, violin, tabla among others to singers, Bharatnatyam and Kathak dancers, Vasantotsav has been known to highlight established as well as new artists making their mark in the field of music. This festival also aims to introduce local flavours through folk and fusion music, like bringing Odessi dancers as a part of the festival.
At Vasantotsav, we are aware that the younger generation generally prefer a different, more active kind of music. Which is why, we also have rock bands coming in for our festivals which draws in the younger generation; who are then also introduced to the classical music environment and history.
This progressive movement, bringing tradition plus contemporary is something that has been highly appreciated over the last few years.
